EVENT OUTLINE: ADULT DIVISION

The Fort Worth Mustang Show is open to BLM mustangs, 3 years old and older, adopted or purchased at approved Bureau of Land Management facilities between April 1st and May 31st, 2024. Adopters/Owners (18 & older as of April 1st ) must enter to be eligible to compete. $50,000 in cash and prizes to be awarded during the September event at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, TX. 

Mustang Qualification Statement: Competing mustangs must be adopted or purchased between April 1st and May 31st with the intent of competing in the FWMS and should not be entered or registered in other BLM sponsored or funded competitions. Our goal is to increase the placement of America’s wild horses into private care through quality training and competition. We will meet this goal by providing an opportunity for the general public to take home a gentled mustang. Therefore, all competing mustangs will be made available to the public at the conclusion of the event. 

  • Locate and adopt or purchase (pick up) a wild horse within the eligibility window - April 1 - May 31st

  • Complete & Submit the online event entry form and payment of $150 before the entry deadline - July 1st  

  • Compete with your mustang in Fort Worth, TX - September 6-7th

Enter online by July 1st. Once you have successfully adopted or purchased a mustang you will need to submit an entry form. Entry forms will be made available online.

EVENT OUTLINE: YOUTH DIVISION

The Fort Worth Mustang Show - Youth Division, hosted by Bar M Productions in partnership with the Mustang Champions Organization, will be a competitive event open to Bureau of Land Management mustangs, 2 years of age and younger, adopted or purchased at an approved off-range corral or adoption event between April 1st and May 31st, 2024. Our 2024 youth competitors have been selected and are now locating their mustangs! You can follow their progress on Facebook then join us in Fort Worth, September 6-7th to cheer them on!
